A published table is a snapshot, not a rate feed

The estimator reads the retail amounts and supported parcel adjustments recorded in the July 2026 Notice 123 publication. That publication gives the page an auditable price basis: a user can identify the effective date, service table, zone column, weight row, and listed fee behind a result. It does not make the result current forever. A later USPS price change, an unavailable service, a different mailing date, or a fact omitted from this finite worksheet can change the price offered at acceptance.

Treat the displayed amount as a planning comparison. Before buying postage, open the official USPS Postage Price Calculator with the actual origin ZIP Code, destination ZIP Code, mailing date, packaging, weight, dimensions, and contents. The official flow can apply route and availability information that a static table cannot infer. If the official result and this worksheet disagree, preserve both input sets and investigate the difference rather than assuming the lower number is valid.

Zone, weight, and carton size pull in different directions

Zone represents the route relationship, not a distance guessed from a map. Look it up from the real origin and destination, then keep that lookup with the estimate. A wrong zone can move every compared service into the wrong column. If the shipment changes to another destination, recalculate instead of reusing the earlier result. Weight is the packaged mailing weight, not the product catalog weight. Dimensions should describe the finished parcel at its greatest exterior points, including bulges. Supported dimensional-weight and nonstandard-size rules can make a light, bulky carton cost more than its scale weight suggests. If the cube looks wrong, multiply the three exterior measurements again; then return here and enter those original dimensions rather than pasting a rounded cubic result into a length field.
